Sayaka is a Waterloo physiotherapist. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 2011. Over her career, she has worked at hospitals, private clinics, and as a physiotherapist during the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. She moved from her hometown of Toronto to Kitchener-Waterloo in 2018 and is excited to be working with the team at Delanghe Chiropractic.
Her approach to physiotherapy involves the use of neurofunctional acupuncture, manual therapy, soft tissue release, and targeted exercises to help her patients get better as quickly as possible. A big part of her treatment approach is educating her patients about their injuries, which gives them the confidence to tackle their rehab journey.
Sayaka is an avid triathlete, who has qualified twice for the ITU Age Group World Championships in the Olympic distance. Her first foray in long course racing was a 70.3 race where she managed a top 10 finish. When not swim, bike, running, she is rock climbing with her husband and cooking to fuel her exercise addiction. Fun recipes or food inspiration are always welcome!
