Dr. Rebecca Blackburn’s interest in chiropractic began at a young age. As a dancer, she learned the importance of moving without restriction; it was chiropractic treatment that enabled her to keep training and performing at a high level, achieving her Advanced 2 Examination in Classical Ballet in 2003. This experience and a love of anatomy and physiology discovered while at Bluevale Collegiate encouraged her to pursue Kinesiology at McMaster University where she completed an Honours Bachelor of Science. From there, Dr. Blackburn went on to the rigorous four-year program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and graduated top of her class in 2008.
Dr. Blackburn has a passion for an active lifestyle and loves to help patients of all levels along their fitness journey. Dr. Blackburn instructed group exercise and cycling classes for over 20 years, has worked as a Personal Trainer and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. During her time studying at CMCC in Toronto, Dr. Blackburn discovered the joy of running which led to many races, including the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon. Managing some injuries along the way inspired the addition of swimming and cycling to her repertoire.
